
Sarangua Battumur, M.S.
Sarangua Battumur is a chemical and biomolecular engineer with deep expertise in soft materials, colloids, and polymer sciences. Her research on reconfigurable colloidal crystals, published in Nature Communications, laid the groundwork for her focus on designing responsive, biocompatible materials for medical applications. She holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Maryland.
Sarangua currently serves as VP of Investment and Strategic Partnerships at Gelectric Medical, where she leads efforts to translate scientific breakthroughs into seed-stage medtech ventures. She also contributes to R&D at Medcura, working at the intersection of research and regulatory strategy to help bring novel hemostatic technologies from concept to clinic.
