Peter Grossi, MD, MBA
Peter Grossi, MD, MBA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Peter started their career as a Neurosurgery Resident at Duke University Health System in 2002 and completed their residency in 2008. During this time, they gained valuable experience in the field of neurosurgery. Peter then joined Duke Health Integrated Practice in 2008 as the Chief of Neurosurgery Service at Duke Raleigh Hospital, where they successfully managed and led the department. In the same year, they also became an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Duke University School of Medicine, where they contributed to the academic and research aspects of the field. Peter remained in this position until 2023 when they became an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery. Additionally, in 2022, they took on the role of President of the Medical Staff at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Furthermore, in 2023, they became the Director of DUHS Board of Directors at Duke University Health System. Peter Grossi, MD, MBA completed their education in a chronological order. Peter began their academic journey by obtaining a high school diploma from St. Albans School (D.C.) in 1993. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Neuroscience at Amherst College, graduating in 1997. In 1998, they enrolled in Duke University School of Medicine and earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2002. Lastly, Peter pursued further education by attending Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, where they are currently completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with an expected completion date in 2023.
