LifeFoam is a ready-to-use, expanding hemostatic foam in a syringe or spray form, composed of modified chitosan designed to stop bleeding during trauma, orthopedic and plastic surgery bleeding scenarios. Consistent with all LifeTM Surgical Portfolio formulations, the foam is also designed to resist the colonization of bacteria that can lead to infection.

How Does
LifeFoam
Work?

By providing a matrix for platelet adhesion and aggregation, on contact with fluids, modified chitosan expanding foam allows for mucoadhesion of chitosan to wet tissue, creating a barrier ​that stops bleeding and is also designed to resist the colonization of bacteria that can lead to infection.
